Quantum optimization

Every day, organizations miss out on real value because finding the best decision is often computationally intractable.

QMill combines quantum and classical computing to close that gap.

We help organizations make better decisions today, and set the benchmarks of tomorrow.

Results today, with the technology of tomorrow

Hybrid quantum-classical algorithms can help improve the trade-off between speed and solution quality, even before fully fault-tolerant quantum computers exist.

◾Fundamentally different. Classical optimizers search solution spaces using ‘clever and slow’ or ‘clever and dirty’ rules to explore and prune candidate solutions, requiring dedicated computing resources for each such candidate. Quantum optimization, on the other hand, takes a fundamentally different approach: it encodes many candidates simultaneously and uses quantum properties to reinforce good solutions while canceling out poor ones.

◾Designed to scale. QMill has developed a portfolio of optimization algorithms designed to run on today's quantum computers, combining the best of quantum and classical techniques. As quantum computing matures, so does the value these algorithms deliver.

REAL RESULTS, REAL OPERATIONS

We are already applying our hybrid approach with industry partners. Here’s an example:

Together with ESL Shipping, we are building a maritime logistics solution focused on assigning cargo to vessels across an entire fleet. Working with real operational data and constraints, the goal is to improve fleet utilization, reduce operating costs, and lower emissions, while supporting better decisions across the whole fleet.

QMill is helping organizations capture early-mover advantages now, and progressively improve their operations in concert with the rapid development of quantum computing technology.

Hybrid solutions close the gap

Optimization drives decisions across the economy, from assigning cargo to vehicles and pricing financial products, to planning energy infrastructure and telecommunications networks.

As problems grow larger and more complex, classical algorithms often struggle to deliver high-quality solutions within practical time limits.

QMill's hybrid approach is built to close this gap, saving organizations time and money through more efficient day-to-day operations and sharper investment decisions.
