Hannu Kauppinen

Chief Executive Officer, 
 Co-Founder

Executive with extensive experience in the development and scaling of new technologies on behalf of Nokia Corporation. Has held previous leadership roles as CTO of Nokia Technologies and as Head of Nokia Research Center. Is also the Co-Founder of Quuppa Oy, a powerful technology platform for location-based services and applications. 

Ville Kotovirta

Chief Technology Officer, 
 Co-Founder

Technology and research leader, developing quantum algorithms with extensive experience directing research groups and projects. Previously led the quantum algorithms and software team at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

Mikko Möttönen

Chief Scientist, Co-Founder

Established thought leader in the quantum-computing field and an active Professor of Quantum Technology at Aalto University, with more than 20 patent families and over 150 publications under his belt, including with Nature and Science. Successful high-technology entrepreneur and Co-Founder of IQM, a leading quantum-computer hardware manufacturer. 

Toni Annala

Chief Algorithm Engineer, 
 Co-Founder

Experienced and awarded mathematician who has previously been a member at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. Recipient of the prestigious 2023 CMS Blair Spearman Prize and an L.E. Dickson Instructor at the University of Chicago. 

Open positions

We are seeking an accomplished Business Development professional to join our team in Espoo, Finland. In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in driving the development of a SaaS-based business model with a focus on revenue growth and profitability.

We are now looking for an experienced optimization algorithm developer to join our quantum algorithm team in Espoo, Finland. Your key goals are to develop efficient optimization algorithms using both classical and quantum resources and demonstrate their use in customer use cases. The classical algorithms should be adapted to parallel processing on local GPU clusters or on supercomputers such as Lumi. You’ll participate in the development and the design of the algorithms and the software architecture of the implementations. You derive requirements for the optimization algorithms and software and communicate with customers to understand use case specifications and requirements.

We are now looking for an experienced software developer to join our quantum algorithm team in Espoo, Finland. Your key goals are to develop efficient classical software that supports the simulation and validation of quantum algorithms and demonstrates their use in customer use cases. The software should be adapted to parallel processing on local GPU clusters or on supercomputers such as Lumi. You’ll participate in the development and the design of the software architecture and communicate with the quantum algorithm engineers having math, physics or computer science background. You derive requirements for the simulation and validation software and advice on the best practices and principles in developing efficient software. You communicate with customers to understand use case specifications and requirements.

We are now looking for a machine learning expert to join our quantum algorithm team in Espoo, Finland. Your key goals are to develop machine learning models related to quantum algorithm research. You will develop the models together with quantum algorithm engineers with math, physics or computer science background. Your role is to design and develop the models and adapt them to parallel computing on local GPU clusters or on supercomputers such as Lumi. You communicate with customers to understand use case specifications and requirements, and participate in development of machine learning models in customer use cases.
