About this position
QMill is developing new quantum algorithms that could solve specific problems better than any classical solution. The problems can relate to optimization, simulation and machine learning for example. We are now looking for a quantum algorithm developer to join our quantum algorithm team in Espoo, Finland. Your key goals are to design and develop efficient quantum algorithms for NISQ era. You cooperate with other algorithm developers. We can consider applicants to a senior or associate position.
What will you do
- Design and develop quantum algorithms for NISQ era
- Develop hybrid algorithms using both quantum and classical resources
- Cooperate with other quantum algorithm developers and software developers in the team
We are looking for
- Minimum of 5 years (senior) of experience in algorithm development either in academia or industry
- Experience in quantum algorithm development is a plus
- At least 2 years (senior) of experience in leading projects of small teams is a plus
- Strong systematic thinking and adherence to good software development practices
- Knowledge of the basics of quantum computing and quantum algorithms
- Strong background in mathematics, physics or computer science
- Master’s degree in computer science, physics or mathematics. Ph.D. is a plus
